What is an annual maintenance contract?
An annual maintenance contract (AMC) is an agreement where a service provider maintains your IT equipment for a year at a pre-agreed cost. It covers scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and support, so problems are caught early and fixed quickly.
Computer AMC services come in two types. A non-comprehensive AMC covers labour, support and maintenance, with spare parts billed separately. A comprehensive AMC also covers the cost of most replacement parts, giving a fully predictable yearly cost.
