Overview
A service built around your requirements
Create recoverable copies of agreed workloads and a practical operating process around them. Backup implementation covers configuration, monitoring and restore validation; buying storage alone is not a backup service.
- Businesses introducing central backup for servers or endpoints
- Teams moving from ad-hoc copies to managed backup operations
- Organisations requiring evidence that selected data can be restored
What We Do
A clearly defined implementation scope
Workload discovery
Identify protected workloads, data volumes and change rates
Retention and recovery planning
Agree retention, schedules, security controls and recovery requirements
Backup configuration
Configure the approved backup platform and storage destinations
Alerts and exception handling
Enable available job alerts and a documented exception process
Restore validation
Carry out the agreed sample restore test and hand over operations
Acceptance and documentation
The agreed checks and handover records are confirmed before work starts.
How We Work
From requirements to handover
Discover
Confirm requirements, access boundaries and technical dependencies.
Plan
Agree scope, commercial terms, acceptance checks and a change/rollback window where needed.
Deliver
Carry out approved tasks and record exceptions rather than silently extending the scope.
Validate & hand over
Review agreed checks, document ownership and identify follow-up work.
Delivery Evidence
Know what your team receives
The written scope identifies the records and deliverables that apply to your engagement.
- A workload, retention and destination schedule
- Backup configuration and operating instructions
- A record of agreed restore tests and unresolved limitations
Before We Start
Prepare for a controlled engagement
Scope boundaries
Additional work is reviewed before it is started.
- Backup software licences, storage capacity and network egress are separate unless listed
- Backup success does not prove a complete application recovery; full restore drills need their own agreed scope
- Retention and recovery objectives are contractual only when specified in writing
Customer preparation
Have the agreed information and authorised contacts ready.
- Provide workload inventory, data sizes and existing backup status
- Define recovery priorities and authorised data locations
- Confirm administrator access through an approved secure method

FAQs
Backup Implementation & Management FAQs
Backup Implementation & Management FAQs
Does this include disaster recovery?
Backup is one component of recovery. Business continuity planning, alternate environments and full recovery drills are scoped separately.
How do we know backups can be used?
The quotation specifies sample restores or application-level tests and the evidence to retain. A completed backup job alone is not treated as proof of recovery.
